Dear fellow Latin America:
Thank you for your interest, concern and expressions of support for the realization of next ELFLAC.
As you know we made a lesbian feminist ekipas contributing and we are betting on the match and all that entails. We are just beginning to experience the political exercise of a collective construction of such a size, which is giving us the opportunity to discuss and build alliances between us. We are aware that our gear is still being a little slow in areas such as external communications and stuff.
We address some issues and try to clear doubts:
a) on the contents of ELFLAC
We tell you that after doing a historical review on the meetings and to revive the proposal subject to the final assembly of ELFLAC-Chile recognized the importance of intending meeting space to discuss primarily on two central themes:
• Decolonization of our bodies and our sexuality, where there is room for debate on identity politics, lesbian identity, lesbian body, racism and discrimination, among other topics. It is considered that the discussion on the trans issue may be addressed in this axis.
• Sexual violence and femicide in our local and regional contexts.
currently we are working on internal forums for discussion and debate that will serve to further the priorities and build a more detailed proposal content.
believe that, likewise, would be very interesting at the local level are also open forums for debate on these issues that we could feed to the definition of content.

On the other hand, remember that it is a feminist lesbian encounter and continue to claim the need for a "room of her own" as lesbian feminists, to think, feel, express, recover the memory of our struggles, retrieve the word itself, the horizon own, the link between us, the notion of our bodies and lesbian desire as constituting contempt of patriarchy. We therefore reaffirm the trans non-participation in this meeting.
At recent reactions and communications, to mention that we note the need for open spaces in the ELFLAC for further reflection about the power relations between us and how we handle our political differences.
b) On the financing
We are in the process of managing financial resources primarily help us to cover scholarships for this meeting. We act within the parameters ethical trading policy expressed in our position. We are also
partying and self collections to generate funds locally and thus support the participation of other Guatemalan lesbian encounter. Self-manage their enrollment will be part of our contribution to the meeting. And welcome to locally carry out similar activities in other countries.
on the use of funding we have agreed:
• The money we receive from cooperation will mainly be used to provide scholarships to lesbian feminists who want to come to the meeting and need that support.
• The meeting will be held in Guatemala City, in a simple, friendly enough but not entailing excessive costs.
• That we in our homes (ekipas and contributors) as many lesbians can to not spend so much on accommodation. Those that can not accommodate in this way are placed in simple and comfortable hotels near the place of meeting.
• The registration fee is $ 150 for all participants, as a contribution towards accommodation, food, internal transport and other logistics.
• You will believe a Solidarity Fund for this meeting where each partner can contribute the able and willing to support colleagues who do not have the resources to come to the meeting.
